Kat K.

Master Trainer in Training

As the Master Trainer in Training at Power4 Pilates, Kat is a driving force behind instructor development and education. She has personally mentored and developed over 40 Apprentice Instructors, contributing more than 5,000 hours to hands-on teaching, coaching, and leadership. Her commitment to Power4 Pilates’ Core Pillars—Creativity, Growth, Accountability, Education, and Collaboration—has made her a cornerstone of our instructor training program.

Kat recently completed her second comprehensive Pilates certification through Balanced Body, which has deepened her expertise in anatomy and physiology. This advanced education has further refined her ability to support clients with diverse needs, including those recovering from injuries or managing physical limitations. She teaches both private sessions and group classes, focusing on precision, progress, and compassion.

Before her Pilates journey, Kat spent more than two decades immersed in the world of dance. A professional performer since age five, she trained and taught extensively in the Bay Area and later in Los Angeles, where she worked on film sets, commercials, and music videos. At just 16, she studied under Alonzo King, founder and artistic director of Lines Contemporary Ballet—an experience that continues to influence her unique and intuitive approach to movement.

Kat’s professional dance career included working with some of the industry’s most respected choreographers, including Mark Meismer, Mandy Moore, Marguerite Derricks, and Chris Dupre. She also toured nationally with elite conventions such as JUMP, West Coast Dance Explosion, and Adrenaline Dance Convention, earning multiple national choreography awards while helping her students launch their careers.

Her philosophy: “Each day is different and a new opportunity to be kind to yourself—you can do it.”

She looks forward to seeing you in class or a private session soon!
