Dani

Instructor

Movement has always been at the center of Dani’s life. As a dancer for over 20 years, she developed a deep understanding of how the body moves, how technique can be refined, and how strength can be built with intention. Pilates felt like a natural extension of that passion, sharing the same focus on control, alignment, and mindful movement that first drew her to dance.

Dani was introduced to Pilates at a young age when her dance teachers incorporated mat Pilates into conditioning classes. She later trained in ballet and modern dance, specifically the Graham Technique, whose philosophy closely aligns with the foundations of Pilates. After earning her BFA in Dance from San José State University, Dani spent two years working with clients at StretchLab, where her passion for helping people move better and feel stronger continued to grow.

In August 2023, Dani began practicing reformer Pilates and quickly fell in love with the structure and strength the method provides. She began teaching in September 2025 and is currently an Apprentice Instructor working toward her full Pilates certification.

Dani’s teaching style is calm, grounded, and alignment-focused, helping clients and members move with intention while building strength and body awareness. She especially enjoys teaching Reformer Flow classes, where thoughtful sequencing and continuous movement create a balanced and energizing workout.

Her own experience with scoliosis has also shaped her perspective as an instructor. Through intentional movement and strength training, Dani discovered how Pilates can support the body, reduce discomfort, and build resilience. This personal journey inspires her to help clients and members feel stronger, more confident, and safer in their bodies.

Dani also loves teaching private sessions, where she can personalize the experience for each client. The one-on-one setting allows her to slow down, break movements down, and create programming that directly supports individual goals.

One of Dani’s most inspiring experiences has been working with a client who began Pilates after a fall left her worried about her mobility. Over several months, the client—now 85 years young—improved her posture, balance, and strength and now confidently incorporates Pilates into her daily routine. Seeing that transformation reinforced Dani’s belief that movement truly is medicine.

Outside the studio, Dani stays connected to her creative roots. She loves attending concerts, visiting museums, exploring new food spots, thrifting, and crafting. With a lifelong background in movement and a genuine passion for helping others, Dani is dedicated to guiding clients through thoughtful, intentional Pilates that support strength, confidence, and long-term wellness.
