Brita S.
Instructor
Brita was first introduced to mat Pilates in 2000. Soon she found herself booking both reformer classes and private sessions in the same week, as her passion for the method deepened and she saw results through consistent practice. With a desire to help others find their best body, in 2010 she earned her comprehensive Pilates certification under Lara Hudson at Mercury Fitness High Performance Pilates, completing a 450-hour mind-body training program across all Pilates apparatus.
Since then, Brita has taught throughout the Bay Area and Los Angeles, and is proud to be part of the dynamic and supportive team at Power4Pilates. She especially enjoys welcoming and guiding clients who are brand new to Pilates, helping them build strength, body awareness and confidence.
With over two decades of experience, Brita continues to be inspired by Pilates’ ability to improve a client’s physical performance and well-being, whether in sports, recovery, or daily life. She has a particular interest in working with prenatal and postnatal clients, as well as athletes. She helps golfers enhance their swing through improved mobility and core control, and assists skiers in preparing for the demands of the winter season.
Brita brings a sports-minded background to her Pilates practice. She previously worked with professional golfers while at the PGA TOUR and collaborated with elite athletes during her career in sports television, including time spent in Australia working on the Sydney Olympics with NBC. She also holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Outside the studio, Brita is passionate about skiing—a lifelong pursuit since the age of four. When not on the slopes, she enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time in nature with her family.
