Alexia

Instructor

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Alexia has always been passionate about movement, community, and pushing her limits—both mentally and physically. Her love for movement started early with 12 years of Folklorico dance, where she eventually became a teacher at her high school. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Science and Legal Studies, she discovered a new passion: distance running. What started as 5Ks on campus quickly turned into half marathons, then the San Francisco Marathon, and now she is training for the Big Sur Marathon in April 2025.

Pilates became a game-changer in Alexia's training, helping her build strength, prevent injuries, and stay mentally grounded through running and rock climbing. She started taking classes consistently and felt the benefits firsthand—both physically and mentally. That inspiration led her to start working at Power4 Pilates as a Membership Specialist, then was promoted to Membership Counselor while going through Teacher Training. In this role, she helps with studio operations, customer service, and sales, deepening her understanding of the client experience. Now, she feels she has the best of both worlds—teaching group classes and private sessions while also working up front, helping members feel supported from the moment they walk through the doors.

Alexia's favorite class to teach (and take!) is Reformer Flow—she loves the dynamic, intentional movement and the way it challenges both the mind and body. When she is not in the studio, you can find her watching basketball (go Warriors!), spending time with her family, or planning her next outdoor adventure. Whether you’re looking to complement your sport, build strength, or just move and feel your best, she can’t wait to see you in class!
